Introduce it before you need it
Putting a wrap on a dog for the very first time during an actual storm or fireworks event can add extra stress rather than reduce it. Try short, calm practice sessions in a relaxed setting first, so your dog associates the wrap with calm rather than only with scary situations.
Consider the specific trigger
If storms are the main concern, a water-resistant wrap suited to brief outdoor exposure makes sense. For indoor fireworks anxiety or general nervousness, a lighter, breathable indoor-focused wrap is usually more comfortable for extended wear.
